Viewers for PDF, PS, and DVI ⇒ Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
Re: Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
Thanks a lot. This has worked for me as well in TeXnicCenter and using MikTeX 2.9. Excellent advice.

Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
I found this article:
http://www.agmonim.com/2010/12/texnicce ... ader-10-x/
Also just in the menu:
Build\DefineOtputProfiles on tab Viewer
for the server values put: AcroViewR10
It solved the issue for me!

Re: Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
I found a solution for this error. Under Build -> Define Output Profile -> Viewer -> (under PDF)change all the options to "Command line argulent" and enter %bm.pdf . Also do not forget to give the new path for AcroReader10.exe
Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
No pdf file is created in the appropriate folder. I tried all option listed in this topic. No matter what settings I use (TexnicCentre - Miktex 2.9 - Adobe Reader X 10), there is no output file produced and shown (all pdftex/pdflatex files etc are present in the miktex folder). ---> "PDF file cannot be found"Emo916math wrote:zgilboa's fix worked for me. This ought to be on the TeXnicCenter help.
Those of you who claim that the PDF file cannot be found, can you clarify whether the file exists in the appropriate folder or not?
In relation to the earlier errors on "[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.pdf")] Cannot execute the command.", it does not matter if I use the 'DDE command' or the 'Command line argument' for the 'View project's Output' (In the viewer tab of the 'Define Output Profile'). I only get the error "[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.pdf")] Cannot execute the command." if I use the DDE-command for 'Forward search'. The Foward Search in combination with the 'Command line in argument - %bm.pdf' option, the error does not occur.
Most important. No matter what combination of options and settings I use, the error "PDF file cannot be found" remains.
Please help
Adobe Reader 10 and viewing error
Hello everyone,
So, today I was just writing a report like usual, using TeXnicCenter.
But when I wanted to see the pdf of my report, it just show me the famous error: "[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.pdf")] Cannot execute the command."
I was surprised because I just wrote another report two days ago, and everything was fine. So, I started to check on the internet about this problem (I precise it was the first time I saw something like that in my latex report) and I found a lot of topic about this error.
I found a lot of solutions, and I tried hard to fix my problem. But the fact is, it's not fixed. I followed the posts in this topic and I saw that the problem is from Adobe Reader. And I remembered I just update it this morning... (Damn it!!)
I tried to unstall and reinstall TeXnicCenter and MiKTeX, nothing changed.
I tried to change the settings of TeXnicCenter with ALT+F7 and nothing changed too (I changed the path of the exe, the server and the command).
So, I finally deleted adobe and installed an old version of the software, but it's still not working.
I can't find the solution and this is why I'm posting this post, to find some help.
This what I have:
-TeXnicCenter Version 2.0 Beta 1 (64bits) (I'm using the way Latex=>PS=>PDF)
-MiKTeX 2.9 (64bits)
-Adobe Reader XI (11.0.02)
And I'm on Windows 7 (64bits)
This is also some pictures about my settings in TeXnicCenter and in my Adobe folder, maybe you can find why it's not working.

I hope, you will be able to help me.
Sorry for the long post and sorry for my writing but I'm French
Thank you,
