Location of the Configuration File

Post by mergan »

Dear all,

I try to reinstall Kile, but as far as the configuration file is still there, the new installation has the old configuration. I don't know where is the configuration file of the Kile in order to delete it.

Thanks for your helping in advanced.

Best regards
Nina

On Linux configuration data for KDE applications is usually stored in a hidden folder inside your home directory.

Code: Select all

/home/‹username›/.kde4/share/apps/kile/
Here ‹username› is the name of your user account. Note the period in .kde4 which makes the folder hidden in the file manager window.
