Hi!

The document has some long footnotes and some pages have multiple footnotes. LaTeX divides them among several pages, that is not good. But I have very seen documents with 1—2 page-long footnotes and 1/4—1/3 pageheight footnotes is ordinary thing.

How to say LaTeX automatcally resize footnotes height to place them only at "their" pages?

Hi,

there are some LaTeX packages like footmisc that improve the handling of footnotes. Have a look at Footnotes, Endnotes, and Margin Notes in the TeX Catalogue Online.

Yesterday there were problems with long footnotes, but today they somehow dissapear... Just wonders! I have tried some packages you advised, but now another problems occured, and I have many troubles with footnotes. See my post here, please.
