Highlight keywords in math mode?

I am using Emacs+Auctex. I need additional highlighting in math mode. How can I force Emacs to highlight braces and some commands (like \quad) inside math mode with different color?

For everybody: this has also been asked at TeX.sx

Regarding crossposts see board rules:
A crossposting is always contra-productive. But there is nothing really against it as long as it is mentioned. This means that a direct link has to be added. So other users who want to help are preserved from double efforts and waste of time.
