Adding Abstract to ToC

Post by AliceWonder »

I'm using TeXLive on x86_64-linux
Yes, it's old, I installed it when it was fresh and don't use very often.

Using article class and pdflatex w/ hyperref

I would like the abstract to be in the table of contents, if for no other reason than to have it available in the PDF reader. I can not figure out how to get the abstract in there. Anyone know?

Have a look at the abstract package.

You could use \addcontentsline or \addtocontents, place it in the source where the abstract starts.
