LyX ⇒ Annoying extra lines.

yes, i do feel that it is a bug of some sort, it seems that lyx doesn't allow extra space/lines otherwise.

I changed my mind. I don't think this is a bug. It all depends on whether you view the math display as a paragraph of its own or together with the other paragraphs. Thus, I think LyX handles it correctly.

However, I definitely see how those extra lines are annoying and they do not stand out much within LyX. You could file an enhancement request at http://www.lyx.org/trac
