Identification of the Color Space for an Image (RGB or CMYK)

Post by insipidtoast »

I've got images on my hard drive, and I have images embedded in LyX but I don't know if they are in CMYK or RGB. How do I find out?
FYI:
I'm using windows with LyX 2.0 and MiKTeX 2.9
I'm designing a book using the Koma-script class

Identification of the Color Space for an Image (RGB or CMYK)

The ImageMagick bundle has some useful command line tools. Among them is »identify«. With an appropriate parameter it spits out helpful information.

Code: Select all

identify -verbose ‹filename›.png
It goes without saying that PNG here is only an example for a file format.
