Move Footnotes to the right Column

Post by nicol »

Dear Gurus

I have a problem. I have to move the footnotes from the left column of my article to the right one. They are put on the left column because the note is actually referred to the left column, but unfortunately I have to leave the footnote's place blank because the journal has to use this place for its purposes. Thus the problem:
How can I managed to move the notes from the left column to the right one while the referred text is still on the left column?

Thank you in advance
Nicol

P.S. I use the vgct style and I do not want to upload new packages (if possible).

Does that mean that you are not willing to use an additional package even if it simplifies things? I see no other possibility than using the ftnright package. Installation should not be necessary since it is a base package.

Thank you very much for your replay

However I would like to have the notes on the right column in the first page only.

There is the possibility to use the package only in a delimited space of the document?

Anyway I should move only one note from left to right, thus I was wandering if it is possible to insert only some easy command in the text.

Thank you

Regardless of the fact that this is not possible with (or without) the package, you should take care for consistency in your document. Decide whether you want the footnotes in the left or in the right column.
