I have a tex file which runs very well and creates a dvi file which is very nice but when I convert dvi to pdf, figure's pages flip by 90 degrees and I am not able to fix this problem. Please help.

Can you please give us some more information? Posting some code (in the sense of a minimal working example) that shows the undesired behaviour could be really useful.

As far as I know, this is a quite normal behaviour, but depends a little bit on the viewer. It shall make easier the reading of the document on the screen. The printed document will look as usual. This effect occurs when using the sidewaysfigure/-table environment from rotating or the landscape environment from lscape.
