not able to generate the file
I am totally new to LATEX world and started using LATEX from 2 days. I am preparing a scientific (research publishing paper) that contains around 8 pages. I had to generate tables and insert figures. Figures (from pdf) were successfully inserted and an output PDF file got generated. But when I was working with Tables and was citing the tables and figures in the main content (I am using the "Texmaker" editor) it complained me (when I run the file) that I am not able to generate the "filename.pdf, try with some other filename". Once when it happens then even if I remove the tables and run the same error gets generated. Kindly help me. When I try to open that filename.pdf it says the file is corrupted and contains error and is not able to open it...

Re: not able to generate the file
Hi,
welcome to the board!
Perhaps your pdf file is locked by the pdf reader. The Adobe Reader is known for this. Close the reader, and compile again. If the problems happens again, delete the pdf file and compile again.
Perhaps post your .log file here, as attachment to a post.
