subscript on isolated breve !!

Post by juliette »

Hello!
I'd love to get a subscirpt attached to an isolated breve (its the u-shaped accent on top of letters, but I want a full-sized isolated version of the symbol). I've tried

\fgecup - just gave me the word 'fgecup' in italics
\partialvardlanddownint - MnSymbol package made my whole document look ugly (in RevTeX 4.1)

\metre{\b} seems like a possibility, but the installation of the package looks difficult (I'm used to just putting .sty files in MikTeX folders).

Does anyone know an easy way to get typeset this ??

Thank you !!!
