Text from PDF not copyable

Hi,

the problem is a bit peculiar. But here goes.

I am using MikTeX 2.9 with TeXmaker 3.3.2. on Windows 7. Now I can build my LaTeX and PDF is created accordingly. The "quick build" configuration that I am using:
"LaTeX + dvips + ps2pdf + view PDF". For viewing the PDF, I am using Adobe Reader. Now, when I click on the created PDF to copy text from it, I see:

A long vertical line appears and I can't copy text properly.

Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Hi,

this could be a problem of your version of the Adobe Reader. Try a different reader to verify that, or attach such a PDF here.
