Maximum Number of Citations

Post by kroman »

I am working at my thesis, that has currently > 300 pages and about 300 citations. If I add an arbitrary new citation, then I get a strange error.

Code: Select all

Extra }, or forgotten \endgroup
Latex Error: \begin{thebibliography} on input line 2 ended by \end{document}

Description:
 }
       {\small \par}
I've deleted a group-closing symbol because it seems to be
spurious, as in `$x}$'. But perhaps the } is legitimate and
you forgot something else, as in `\hbox{$x}'. In such cases
the way to recover is to insert both the forgotten and the
deleted material, e.g., by typing `I$}'.
The latex error is:

Code: Select all

[279] [280] [281] [282] [283] [284])
Runaway argument?

! File ended while scanning use of \BR@@bibitem.
If I export everything to PDFLaTeX and compile in console, everything works. So I believe its a LyX problem. Is there an internal counter of citations in LyX, that could potentially overflow?

any idea to solve the problem would be appreciated!

thx, Roman
