How to draw and label vectors

Post by bulloid »

Hello,

I'm currently using Latex on Windows. The usual tool that I use for drawing is Dia. However I can't figure out how to draw a vector and label it with an arrow on top of the vector name with Dia.

Does anybody have a suggestion? What tool should I use that can label an arrow line with a correct vector symbol?

Thanks

How to draw and label vectors

If you are really looking for a solution with Dia, your question is off topic here. Expertise on this board concentrates on LaTeX.

For a LaTeX solution take a look at packages like pgf/tikZ or PSTricks. External solutions in combination with LaTeX are available with MetaPost [1] or Asymptote [2]. For a good start take look at the respective manuals.

[2] Asymptote – The Vector Graphics Language
