Hi,
what is your specific question? Which is the problem? Do you need a general introduction to LyX, or to beamer?
Did you already write your essay in LyX? Would you consider using LaTeX for it?

beamer | Presentation Structure
Here you find examples, which you can download and open with LyX, for filling your own content in: LyX Beamer Examples.
For instance, the 'Simple beamer' template (with a document structure) could be a good start.

I've tried and encountered some errors. Texmaker and LyX both have this error. Please help me.
Code: Select all
The control sequence at the end of the top line
of your error message was never \def'ed. If you have
misspelled it (e.g., `\hobx'), type `I' and the correct
spelling (e.g., `I\hbox'). Otherwise just continue,
and I'll forget about whatever was undefined.
! Undefined control sequence.

Re: beamer | Presentation Structure
Very probably this is caused by an outdated beamer package. Use the package manager and update the beamer package. There was a beamer version which had errors with the newer geometry package version, which is fixed today.
