General ⇒ Problem with large file - *-pics.ps size limit?

Hi all,

I am new to Latex and to this forum.
I want to use Latex to generate an over 100.000 pages document with barcodes. All the pages have been created, the text is available and the parcodes are inserted but only on the first 34.464 pages. After that page, the barcode disappears.
In the logfile I get an error "Ps picture undefined" starting from page 34.465.
I have the impression that the barcode generation stops at a certain point when the *-pics.ps file is generated. This file stops growing at 12.5 MB, whatever the volume of pages I want to create.
When looking into the configuration file of latex (/etc/texmf/texmf.cnf) I cannot find an entry related to this. I tried changing some values but without any effect.

Does someone knows how to solve this?
