After I upgraded to Adobe Reader X, i found a solution
Build > Define Output Profiles > Choose 'LaTeX => PDF' > Viewer tab. In three locations where 'acroview' is the value, change it to 'acroviewR10'

Recommended reading 2024:

LaTeXguide.org • LaTeX-Cookbook.net • TikZ.org

NEW: TikZ book now 40% off at Amazon.com for a short time.

Under the viewer tab of the profiles box, change the three "server" fields from "acroview" to "acroviewR10".

Worked a treat for me.

Hi Everyone:

I have the same problem. I can't open pdf file from TexnicCenter. There is a message like this:

[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.p...")]...Cannot execute the command

I have Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0 and I am using TexnicCenter 2.0 Alpha and my computer is x64 with Windows 7 Professional.

I hope you can help me.

Best regards.
