LyX ⇒ shortcuts not working

Hi all,

My lyx shortcuts such as ctrl+m for inline maths functions, including ctrl+c/ctrl+v for copy paste, have all stopped working all of a sudden.

When I tried to use shortcuts with the ctrl key, random characters appear as attached. The esc key creates a short left-arrow. The ctrl+m however does nothing.

Please help, it's very painful typing without these shortcuts!

by the way, I uninstalled and reinstalled, didn't solve the problem ...

Just had to change the binding to "sciword", thanks.
