Hi, my name is Timur, I use Latex for less than a year.
My main occupation is DSP-engineering, firmware development.
Hobby: artificial neural networks.

Hi Timur,

welcome to the board!
Nice hobby, seems to be complex! Do you use LaTeX for writing about that?

I use latex both for writing technical documentation concerning my working projects (DSP) (we approved Latex as internal standard for documentation - this is very convenient, since you can easily compare different versions of document) and I write some my ideas about artificial neural networks in latex as well (due to the same reason - convenience with comparing versions, but it is too early to expect results in this direction... I don't consider I am ready to public anything about this, but I would be glad to meet people who are interested in the same stuff (the latest thing I was impressed is Jeffry Hoking's book "On intelligence" and his article about hierarchical temporal memory - I don't experiment with 'classical' networks, rather preferring think about Hoking's HTM model's high and low points and about how to implement it using neural networks. As I mentioned so far my progress is very small so I wouldn't dilate on this :) )).
