beamer | Show Database Key in References

Post by evancoe »

Using a BiBTeX database in a beamer presentation allows me to have numbered citations (The "Database Key") but by default these keys are not shown in the "BiBTeX Generated Bibliography" (generated by LyX).

Attached is a screenshot showing that there is no "[1]", or "[2]"... citation keys in the bibliography.

How might I setup LyX so that these keys are shown so that the user can easily navigate to the citation?

For instance, in one slide I quote "XXX said the following ..." [5]

I then want the user to go to the bibliography and easily look up the citation [5] such that "[5]" is printed next to it. See attachment for what happens by default in lyx (you get icons next to the reference but no database key or index).

Thanks for your help!
