epstopdf.exe crashes

Post by mathfeel »

Simple command with no strange option would crash real bad:

Code: Select all

>epstopdf --verbose nkFL.eps
Making nkFL.pdf from nkFL.eps...
then the usual Windows report error dialogs box would show up, leaving me with basically no way of identifying the error. I am using MikTeX 2.7 and am pretty sure that epstopdf is updated as well.

epstopdf.exe crashes

Post by Stefan Kottwitz »

Hi mathfeel,

could you post the eps file (compressed/zipped) as attachment here? You will find the Browse and Add the file button below the edit field. We could test it to find out if there's a problem with the eps file.
I don't have Windows on my computer, but somebody else probably has it and can test with MiKTeX. I would test with epstopdf on my Linux computer to see if an error is reported.
What is the exact error message given by the Windows dialog box?
