This is probably a bit off-topic. I am currently thinking about moving my LaTeX-oriented content on fauskes.net (the tikz gallery, bibconverter and a few other projects) to a separate domain. Does anyone have a good idea for a domain name? My first thought was texify.com|net, but that one was already taken. I am trying to find a short and (La)TeX related name. Any ideas?

What about TeXniques.com|org|net? Derived from techniques. Perhaps a little bit more specific is (La)TeXniques.

Damned! This came to my mind spontaneously. The best things are already taken. But I guess TeXnician isn't yet, at least not as a domain name.

Yes, this is difficult. Unfortunately texnician.com is already registered. The .net version is not. Thanks for the ideas.

You are right. I like the texify name. Short and simple. Maybe I should go for it.

Where can I find out which domain is registered and which not? Nevertheless, I have another one: TeXnologies.

Nice one. I think I have to sleep on this. Thank you again for the ideas.
You can check domain name availability many places, for instance here:

Hi,
For the record, I ended up with the domain name texmisc.net since it will be a site with miscellaneous TeX-oriented resources. I considered misctex.net first, but discarded it because it sounded too much like MikTeX.
