Dear all,

I was wondering how I can install pfgplots.sty. I need it for the graphics I have to create.

The problem is that I get an error when compiling my main document with \usepackage{pfgplots}.

I am enclosing my document "pfgplots.sty". I do not know why it is called 'csvtools.sty'.

That is the error I get:

Hi Marie,

this is the wrong file. Install pgfplots using the package manager of your TeX distribution, or download it from CTAN.

I also tried it with sudo apt-get install texlive-pictures and I got the following message:

Would be OK now? I cannot compile the document yet.

It seems like you did a local installation, not an installation over the Internet, that's why the installer searches the package database locally.

You could specify the option --repository for using an online repository for download. This works for me:

sudo tlmgr --repository=ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/tex/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/ install pgfplots

Hi Maria,

it's the same as above, specifying the repository is also required here:

sudo tlmgr --repository=ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/tex/CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/ update --self

Probably you could start the Manager GUI by

sudo tlmgr -gui

and choose your repository in the main menu and update via the GUI.
