PDF output control (text reflow)
Thanks to input here (and elsewhere) the book was eventually PDF'd (with a MiKTeX distro) and subsequently printed out beautifully. However, having just looked at the PDF on my Galaxy S using the bundled ThinkFree PDF Viewer, when the text is shown in "reading view" (which reflows the text) line breaks are inserted in the middle of words.
A check of reflowed text in Adobe Reader (9.4) resulted in text with all spaces removed (it seemed).
IIRC LaTeX positions characters individually (keeping spacing close within words) and my guess therefore is that by default nothing is specifically included that might tell a PDF reader where the word boundaries are. Is there any way to control output so that text reflowed in a PDF might appear properly?
Many thanks
Julian
