Texmaker and TeXstudio ⇒ moderncv | Adding Class

Hello guys,

I'm using Texmaker and i'm trying to write my CV. Does anyone how can i add the moderncv package to Texmaker. I've been trying this for 2 hour with no success

welcome to the board!

This does not depend on your editor. However, it depends on your operating system (Windows, Linux (which one), Mac OS X, ...) and the TeX distribution you have installed (TeX Live, MiKTeX, Linux repository version).

Perhaps provide such information.

Thanks for response.

I'm such a newbie . I'm using linux(ubuntu 11.10). I've installed texmaker by using software-center.

But i do not know which tex distribution i'm using. So i'm using the predefined Tex-distribution of Texmaker for ubuntu 11.10.

Hi Berat,

the Ubuntu TeX distribution is based on TeX Live 2009. You may have further problems later, if you would like to install newer package versions.

I installed TeX Live 2011 on my system. It was easy using the net installer. With the TeX Live manager, you can install the newest available packages.

I've just installed Tex Live packages. I hope that the packages will be recognized automatically by TexMaker.
