Anyone know how stop the following error in LyX 2.x? It happens when trying to compile a LyX file I downloaded from the wiki.
!pdfTeX error: pdflatex (file umvs): Font umvs at 720 not found
I feel like a bit of a jerk for bringing yet another "please help with specific problem" thread here but people were so nice and helpful last time and I suck hard at computers.
Thanks for any advice!

Re: Problem compiling in LyX 2.x
So, having looked into this more, it seems to be a bit of a recurring issue with moderncv on LyX. The only fixes I can find are for Linux though.
I gather it's an issue with marvosym but I have reinstalled it with the MikTex package manager (which has fixed things in the past) to no avail.
Does this help? Anyone have any clue what's going on?

Re: Problem compiling in LyX 2.x
I am a novice user, not sure if I can help.
My Fedora distribution texlive package is outdated (2007) and the moderncv.cls is version 0.5
It did not compile on LyX 2.x on a the default installation.
I have searched for moderncv06 and installed it.
http://homepages.math.uic.edu/~hurder/getajob/cv.html
It compiles fine now.
NB: the more recent moderncv packages available on CTAN do not compile.
