I am a PhD Economics student in Italy. I am originally from South Africa. I use KILE in Ubuntu Linux (yes I know some think it sacrilegious to use KILE on non-KDE platforms, but hey?).
Good to be here.

Hi Simon,
welcome to the LaTeX Community Forum!
I am also using Kile on Ubuntu Linux with GNOME, it's working very well and that's what counts.

Hello and welcome to the board!
I'm using Kile under its native desktop KDE on openSUSE, but I don't mind your "abuse".
Best regards
Thorsten

Hello
That's exactly what I use. I prefer the Gnome desktop but KILE is best suited to my needs. Welcome to the club.Simon Halliday wrote:I am a PhD Economics student in Italy.
