Different Citation Styles in Footnotes and in-text Citations

Post by pyriand3r »

Hi everyone,

i'm using LyX 2.0.2 with biblatex and bibtex8 and i'm wondering if there is an easy (automatic) way to tell LyX to format the in-text- and footnote-cites in different ways.

As an example, i want in-text-cites to appear in brackets like (Gregory/Miller 2000) - sometimes with page-reference - and Footnote-cites in footnotes (sure) and full citation (e.g. "Gregory/Miller: Science in public, 2000, p. xy").
Is it possible for LyX to differ between just cites and cites in footnotes and handle this cases in different ways?

Hope you guys understand my question :)

greetings, pyri

Isn't possible or don't you understand what i want? :) Sorry, my english is not the very best...

With natbib there are different styles for the cites which i can choose... With brackets or without etc... Is there maybe a possibility to change these predefined styles?

Greetings,
Pyri
