Hi all,
I am writing my thesis in latex. Now I came up with some idea, but I don't know if it possible.
What I would like to do is to put my thanks (usually put at the end of the thesis), throughout the entire thesis, on one running line at, for example, the bottom of the page.
So, it would like the text to be automatically distributed over all the pages.
Note that the text should thus be different on each page and coming from a single source text file, and that it shouldn't be necessary to distribute the text over all the pages manually.
Does anyone know how to distribute such an independent source of text over multiple pages at some designated position (header, footer, margin, ...) ?

Re: Running text at top or bottom of multiple pages
At the moment I can't really figure out what you mean when using the term "thanks". Writing my thesis, I also had a section called "Acknowledgements", but this filled a whole page. So, if you could give a more precise description of what you want to do, giving help would be much easier. Perhaps you can explain to me, what your understanding of "thanks" in this context is.

Ah yes, that's exactly what I mean. I should have used the word "acknowledgements".localghost wrote:At the moment I can't really figure out what mean when using the term "thanks". So that's what I would like to do, spread the acknowledgements over all the pages of my thesis, one line per page. Do you think it's possible??
Best regards,

Whether possible or not, doing such unusual things you should always keep the reader in mind and what he would think if seeing such a kind of ticker in the head or foot line. And think about how he would feel if wanting to read these acknowledgements but having to go through the whole document because on every page there is only a short snippet to read. In my opinion, you should go to dispense with that.mvs wrote:[...] So that's what I would like to do, spread the acknowledgements over all the pages of my thesis, one line per page.
