General ⇒ Exclude certain Chapters and Bibliography from ToC

Can I hide some chapters from the Table of contents?

For example I don't want the abstract/preface of my thesis to be shown in
the table of contents.

Also I don't want the bibliography to be shown the table of contents.

Hi,

it depends on your class or template, respectively.

Usually abstract, preface and bibliography are not shown in the ToC. So check your thesis template for such commands and remove that.

You could post your template as attachment to a post, for us to see.
