General ⇒ how to set the path to viewer in TexnicCenter

can some one help me in setting the path to pdf viewer in TexnicCenter. even though i set the path in profiles\viewer to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe when i try to view the document it does not open. it only opens acrobat reader and not the file. thanks.

Hi pandu_raman,

have a look at this screenshot (source).
Set the DDE command to: [DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.pdf")]
Closing DDE command: [DocClose("%bm.pdf")]

Hi pandu_raman,

could you post a screenshot of the profiles options window corresponding to the screenshot I've posted above? Perhaps I may find something by examining that.
For posting pictures/files as attachment click on Browse below the text edit field and click on Add the file.
Or desribe exactly field by field what's written in what field and how that's labeled, but a screenshot would make it clearer.

hey Stephen thanks a lot it works. if u have time just let me know what all that we included. i only understood the path to the viewer. if u have some link pass it on i will read and understand.
