elsarticle | Problem with Pifont

Post by Mescalito78 »

Hello,

I am a new user of LyX. With both the 1.6.7 and the 2.0.0 versions I have a problem when using the "Article (elsevier)" template. When I try to update document or get the pdf the following error message appears:
{\Pifont{psy}
}
I wasn't able to read the size data for this font,
so I will ignore the font specification.
[Wizards can fix TFM files using TFtoPL/PLtoTF.]
You might try inserting a different font spec;
e.g., type `I\font<same font id>=<substitute font name>'.
Using the MIKTEX 2.8 Package Manager I've checked that I have the package "psnfss" properly installed with the file "pifont.sty" in it. So I really don't know what else should I do to solve the problem.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

I'm having the same problem. I searched on the net and found this: http://www.mentby.com/bruno-cocciaro/el ... n-lyx.html

It seems that MiKTeX downloads an incomplete package and you need to download it from elsewhere. It is annoying that the incomplete package is still there though - I'm new to LyX and it doesn't make the switch any easier!
