Overwrite open PDF
I am a somewhat seasoned LaTeX user. I work on a Windows XP machine with the MiKTeX distribution and prefer TeXnicCenter, working with the option LaTeX => PDF.
My question is this. In the past, I would build and preview a file, look at the PDF, go back to my TeX file to edit, and press Ctrl + Shift + F5 to build and preview again while the PDF was open. The new PDF would appear with no problem. Now a couple of weeks ago I downloaded MiKTeX and TeXnicCenter on a new computer (also a Windows XP machine), and when I try to build and preview while the old PDF is open, I get 3 errors, all of which pertain to the fact that the first PDF was open. Does anyone know what is going on?
Thanks,

P.S. I am attaching the .log file with the error, in case that helps.

Adobe Reader and Foxit Reader lock the opened files. You should close them when recompiling the document and then open the file again.
You can also use Sumatra PDF or Evince Document Viewer, they refresh the document automatically when changes are detected.
