LyX ⇒ Use IEEEtran Class

I am a newbie to LaTeX editing and to LyX. I recently downloaded the IEEE LaTeX file including the IEEEtran class. I am using LyX in Ubuntu along with TeX Live. I created a folder in the TeX Live folder and when I look in TeX information IEEtran class is being shown. But whenever i try and use the default IEEE template IEEEtran.lyx, its not able to detect IEEEtran class and gives an error that it wont compile. Could someone please help me with this? and also give links to IEEEtran.layout and *.lyx templates for IEEE formats?
