[Linux] pdf viewer with inverse search

Post by drowsy »

Hi,

is there an open-source pdf-viewer in linux that has inverse-search feature,
like xdvi and kdvi for .dvi documents?

I don't know of any standalone PDF viewer, but the TeXworks project aims to create an editor/viewer combination with SyncTeX support, like TeXshop.

Firstly, that site does not mention forward and reverse search at all, and so is pretty useless to the LaTeX Community, and certainly irrelevant to this thread. And secondly, it does not review the most used linux PDF applications at all. No mention of Okular? Okular is certainly more used than some of the others on that page (and does support Forward and Inverse search). Also, there's no mention of MuPDF (the PDF viewer I prefer personally) or Zathura or apvlv or a half dozen others I could mention.
