LEd ⇒ Dvi viewer only showing blue squares

I can confirm that changing the Ghostscript Version to 8.54 has this effect! Thats very true, kaneinf. Never saw .eps Figures in the DVI-Viewer before. Tried with the 53.6500 Version.

I´ve tried unsuccessfully everything above. My configuration is:

Win 7
LED 0.536501
Miktex 2.8
GhostScript 8.71

When I changed resolution to 700dpi and asked for "new preview",
the font was reconstructed and the preview worked.

I had the same problem and tried to reinstall the packages, etc ...
Now I changed my Ghostscript to version 8.54 and it worked ^^

Hi,

I'm trying to follow your steps. However, I already had a LEd installation before. I'm trying to remove all the software and start again, but I always got the same result. I tried several versions of Ghostscript too.
Is there any files that I should remove in order to get a fresh installation?

EDIT.
I remove all the entries that matched with "LEd" from the registry, a reboot, and a new installation of everything.
Using GS 8.54 it works, even if I set the "Text distribution" to "MiKTex 2.8" and the "font making script" to "MiKTex207-core.dll".

Well... It also works for:

so once again:
Configuration->Options
->Application->DVI Viewer
TeX distribution: MiKTeX2.7
font searching library: MiKTeX207-core.dll
font making script: makepk.exe

I don't understand this, but if anyone had same problem as I had, well here is the answear how to make it work...

For me this was a matter of setting the DVI viewer preferences in the "project options". The option "DVI File Name" was changed to <project name>.dvi instead of <main file>.dvi

Just encountered this problem and resolved it by copying MikTex209-dvi.dll in the miktex bin directory to the LED directory and renaming it to
dvi-miktex29.dll

I have two accounts on the same computer, both using the same copy of LED. In one account the problem was resolved by setting tex distribution to MikTex2.7, just as some other people have done. Strangely this does not work for the second account. After I copied the dll, it seems the setting MikTex2.7 or MikTex2.8 does not matter at all. Actually MikTex2.9 is used.

I'm having a bizarre problem with the dvi viewer. When I have the documentclass attribute "reprint" set (giving a single-spaced two-column document), everything works fine. When I have "preprint" set (giving a double-spaced one-column document), the built in dvi viewer can't seem to find the right fonts for the equations. The text shows up fine, but the equations are all jibberish. External dvi viewers do fine with the preprint dvi.

Any ideas for what could be causing this, and how to fix it? I'm using MikTex 2.9, with tex distribution set to 2.7.

Kaneinf would seem to be right. Using LED I tried GSview 9.06, 8.64 and they both didn't work. Then I installed Ghost view 8.54 and LED renders EPS figures just fine. Instead of using .jpg or .png or .eps in /include figure I just the the file name with out the ending and it picks the appropriate figure (.eps for dvi preview and .png/.pdf or what ever for pdf format)

It dosn't seem to matter what version of MikTex I pick out 2.7 or 2.8 either one works for me.

I currently have LED (build 0.536501). I wonder if I updated the build maybe it would work with the newer Ghost View but I have not tried it as I am too bussy too but thanks so much for the help. Kaneinf fixed my problem.
