Hello
I'm a new to LaTeX and was glad to find this community. I'm a graduate student in biology and I'm currently working on a regional flora, which identifies and describes plants. I'm using the memoir class to format the book and for the past few days I've been struggling with how to create a glossary that will include graphics illustrating some terms.
Using memoir's glossary function, I've finally succeeded in printing a very minimal glossary in a "minimum working example" document. It required using command-line LaTeX in addition to TexShop, which I use for everything but processing the "glo" file into a "gls" file. Now I'll start working on getting graphics into it, and I'll likely be posting to the forum for help when I get stymied.
I'm not completely computer illiterate, but the amount of coding required for using LaTeX is still a little intimidating.
Cheers,
Gregory
