Math & Science ⇒ LaTeX and its Editor for Mac Users

Hello everyone,

I am a math student and I am doing a project right now. I have asked to use LaTeX but the problem is I have a Mac Book Pro so I have looked in the Internet and found one is called MacTeX. The question is:

Is there any other programs like LaTeX other than MacTeX?

And what is the easiest editor to use? I am not a professional user.

MacTeX is the distribution of LaTeX for Mac. Together with MacTeX come several editors (TeXshop, TeXworks). TeXworks is recognized as being an editor for beginners. If that doesn't suit you, you can try TeXmaker instead.

PS: If you're unable to install MacTeX or TeXmaker, don't worry: I'll post a tutorial on my blog tomorrow.

hi! i am also new to latex and use macbook pro. I am using texshop which I downloaded somewhere (I forgot where) it is easy for beginners.
