Hello,

This has been bothering me for a long time. On Windows(7 and Vista), where do you place the dictionary(ie., en_CA.aff and en_CA.dic) so that they will be picked up by texworks that is distributed with TeXLive?

The externally installed TeXWorks finds these dictionary files in c:\users\userid\TeXWorks\Dictionaries. But what about the version of TeXWorks distributed with TeXLive?

In TeXworks see under Help > Settings and Resources... (the default for this in TeX Live is %USERPROFILE%\.texliveYEAR\texmf-config\texworks).

Hi,

I tried that, it didn't work. Attached is .texlive2011/texmf-config/texworks screen shot. No dictionaries show up in TeXWorks, and yes, I've restarted the application since I put the files there. Also attached is a screenshot from TeXWorks.

You should create a subdirectory dictionaries and put the files there.
