Compilation not possible

Hi,

I'm trying to download TeXworks editor on my windows pc, and although the .tex file and pdf open fine, when I try to compile i get a message that the file "pdflatex" was not found (or something like this)..

Current versions of the common TeX distributions (MiKTeX 2.9, TeX Live 2010) have TeXworks incorporated in a ready-to-use configuration. It might be necessary to install it subsequently by the corresponding package manager. So there actually should be no need to download it separately.

Could it be that you installed only the editor but no TeX distribution? In that case you have to install one, you can download it here:
