LyX ⇒ File in Layouts Directory, but not found by LyX

Hi!
I just started using LyX 2.0

I put revtex4-1.lyx in C:\Program Files (x86)\LyX20\Resources\layouts

And it appears there clearly, but still when I go into LyX and click new template, the only revtex's that show up are revtex and revtex4.

I also went to Document->Settings->Document Class and can only find article(REVTex4) but not 4.1.

This page says nothing about needing to update LyX to inform it that there's a new .layout file in the appropriate directory:

Is there a way to do that ?

You'll notice that revtex is a layout file (extension: .layout), not a template. So, if you place it in system layout dir or in your user dir, it should be available in LyX, but not as a template, rather as a new document class. So, what to do?

1. After placing .layout file into one of above-mentioned places, first you have to do is to reconfigure LyX: Tools > Reconfigure, and then restart it.
2. Now simply start a new document, then in Document > Settings > Document Class choose article (REVTeX 4.1).

And if you want to create a template based on REVTeX 4.1, just create a file with article (REVTeX 4.1) document class, set everything you like, and then save the file into templates directory in C:\Program Files (x86)\LyX20\Resources\templates directory (I'm guessing this is the path on Windows).
