LyX and spbasic.bst

Post by bettinathenomad »

Dear all,
I'm writing an article for a Springer journal and am trying to generate a Bibtex bibliography using the "spbasic.bst" style, which I have installed (correctly, it seems, as it can be found by LyX.

However, I get (?)s instead of citations when I compile and LyX does not produce a reference list. What could be wrong? It works perfectly if I use a different citation style, such as apalike.
Let me know if you need any code.

It's getting urgent, the article is finished and I want to submit, but I just can't get the citations right :(

Thank you!

OK, after hours of playing, I have finally (semi-) solved the problem: spbasic.bst does not like URLs. Apparently, they haven't been defined. So I just took out all the URLs from my bibtex file and it works now.

It's very annoying though, because now my references are incomplete (i.e. where I got the reference from a webpage, this webpage is now not cited in the document). Any solutions for that? How can I still include URLs in the references?

Thank you!
