Installing packages to MikTex portable?
Hi all
Just having a problem installing setspace to my portable miktex. I've put the sty file in the right place, refreshed the fndb and it still doesn't work. I also tried installing it from the web (via the interface that texworks gives me) but all of the servers i tried responded with 404. Does anyone know how to install setspace (or any package for that matter) to miktex portable?
Thanks

Re: Installing packages to MikTex portable?
Have you tried right clicking the MikTeX portable icon in the system tray, and choosing Package manager from the list?
Re: Installing packages to MikTex portable?
Yeah, I tried installing it from there and it gave me this:

Re: Installing packages to MikTex portable?
I got the same at first, but synchronizing seemed to get rid of that error. Choose Repository --> Synchronize in the package manager. I did get another error though, but the package is listed as being installed anyways.
Re: Installing packages to MikTex portable?
Ok, synchronising the package database now. It's taking a while to complete, will update once it's done =)
Re: Installing packages to MikTex portable?
Ok so i got the following error:
MiKTeX Problem Report
Message: Windows API error 145: The directory is not empty.
Data: F:\Portable Latex\miktex\temp\mik61796

This, and setspace didn't install =( any other ideas?

I'm afraid not. If no one else here has any ideas, you can try the MikTeX mailing list, forum:
