Compiling stops when including graphics/x

Post by masterfgee »

hi
i am trying to include a .jpg into my work but as soon as i use

Code: Select all

\usepackage{grahpicx}
it wont compile anymore. its the same with the graphics package...
it always says 0 Errors, 0 Warnings and 0 Pages :/

i am new to latex and i use miktex 2.9 with texniccenter 1.0 RC1 and LaTeX -> PDF. when i dont use any graphic package it works just fine and the log looks like this:

Code: Select all

Compiling stops when including graphics/x

Post by localghost »

The well known problem of TeXnicCenter (TXC) with MiKTeX [1]. Either compile from the command line once or use another Editor in general (TeXworks is integrated). Consider a full MiKTeX installation to evade the problem of subsequent package installation.

hi localghost,

thx for "optimizing" my post ;)
i have reinstalled miktex and now it works. i think it has something to do with the option to install missing packages on-the-fly. now i chose Yes and this probably fixed it.

thx alot for the help ;)
