"et al." & 'econometrica' BibTeX style

Post by dklks »

Dear all

As a fairly new user to latex I am trying to make texshop write "et al." in relation to a reference which has 3(4) or more names, though unsuccessfully.

My bibliographystyle is econometrica and I also use the natbib package. Furthermore, my list of references is in bibtex.

Do you have a suggestions to what I might do differently? I will be happy to post the code/preamble if needed.

Cheers
Lasse
ps if it makes a difference I am running latex on mac

I have just encountered the same problem. Search in google gave this helpful link: http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive ... 01726.html

Using ecca.bst style instead of econometrica.bst solved the problem for me.

Thanks Konstantin!
Do you know if ecca resembles econometrica?
