Hi!
How can I add a word to the dictionary or create a personal dictionary? I found no automatic way to do that in Texmaker and when I tried to add it manually at the bottom of the dictionary file it did not work.

Hi,
Write any word of your choice (in your tex file), right click -> file -> dictionary manager -> User (Addon) {in drop down menu choose user dictionary} -> check "enable option" save it and see I hope this will work.

I tried your solution, but the menu you quote does not appear in my version of Texmaker (3.0.2). Which version are you referring to?
Besides, I finally succeded in adding manually some words at the end of the .dic file. It uses a code that I don't fully understand, but adding words is feasible.

Working in TexShop on a Mac, you can control-click a word and then click "Learn Spelling" in the sub-menu. Thanks for this page, it was helpful. Regards, ADR.
