\sidewaystable and twoside
I am trying to create a pdf for publication.
I am using \documentclass[a4paper,12pt,twoside]{book}
However, \sidewaystable or \sidewaysfigure are not being generated correctly when I create the .pdf.
Specifically, it is presenting as a landscape page squashed to the width of portrait page with the figure scaled accordingly so that the page number is on the edge of the page (left or right side depending on whether the page number is odd/even).
Can anyone help me with this? without specifying twoside everything prints correctly though when reading the .pdf electronically the sideways table/figure page is always rotated to display as landscape.
What I need is for the figures/tables to print sideways in a two sided format. Any help much appreciated, thanks
edited to add: thinking about it - I really don't want to use twoside because I have to use the publishers pdf creator to create the ready to print document. I guess I just want a4 pages - but for it not to display landscape pages where I have sideways items
