latexmk.exe: The Perl interpreter could not be found.

Strawberry Perl is installed
OS:Win7
Texworks ver 4.0

The same verson runs latexmk unproblematically on XP.

This may be a known issue:

What's wrong and how can I get latexmk running?

I also have this problem in Win XP.
I have Strawberry Perl installed and have verified the versions of both it and latexmk using "perl -v" and "latexmk -v" at the command line.

But whe it comes to compiling a tex file in texmaker 3.0.2 using latexmk, I get the same error message:
"The perl interpreter could not be found"

I have now found a solution!

Don't use strawberry perl!

Pretty sure it has to do with the folder where the pearl is installed. latexmk expects it to be in C:\perl\bin and not in C:\strawberry\perl\bin

I guess you could change the perl distribution (as I did) or try to find all the calls of perl in latexmk.

Ah, very good.

I understand the change distribution solution; but what about the "find all the calls of perl in latexmk solution" - what does that mean and how do I do that? Thanks!
