Hello!

Post by meikitsu »

Hello all,

I'd also like to say hello! I'm quite new at LaTeX; as a sort of introductory project I thought I'd write my master's thesis in LaTeX. Since I'm a student of French this won't be too hard; I found all the accents already, and I'm about two weeks away from inserting my first image... I've got a borrowed "Latex Praxisbuch" so with a bit of help from it and my dictionary, I shouldn't have to put too much stress on this forum! :) Still, I'll hopefully be seeing a lot of LaTeX, because my current plans involve working as a translator (a.k.a. living in absolute poverty) and I reckon TeX can be a powerful tool in that line of business...

Regards!

A Master Thesis might not be the right project to begin with LaTeX. However, a good book can be very helpful. Let's hope that you have an older version of the »LaTeX Praxisbuch«. Current editions of the new author are said to be not so good.
