Modifying the Title page

Post by Tom_k »

Hey everyone!
i'm new here, i have spent the last couple of days looking for and answer to this question, so hopefully i can get some more help here.

I am using lyx to write my University thesis and the Uni is rather strict about what goes on the title page, i was wondering if someone could tell me how to get all this on the title page:

UNIVERSITY NAME
SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Title of Thesis
Name of Author
Student ID
Bachelor of Engineering
Date of submission
Supervisor’s name

is it possible to get all that on the title page, but so it still looks professional?

regards tom_k

sorry if i have posted this in the wrong section this one seemed the most relevant.

If you have very special requirements, you'll probably be best off building your own title page. Especially if you want to match the university's "look" in some way. Maybe there even is a template. (Many universities have such things.)

What document class are you using? Most supply a "titlepage" environment to put everything in that should go on the title page. But you can easily do without it as well. Just make sure to start a new page afterwards. You'll probably also want to change the page style and maybe even the margins.
I'm using pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-1.40.10 (TeX Live 2009/Debian).
